A created being; the elder brother of Lucifer

Biblical response:

Uncreated God

Common (one of many gods) and, in some ways, of minor importance in the larger Mormon Cosmology

Biblical response:

Unique (the Second Person of the one and only Godhead) and of supreme importance throughout time, eternity and all creation

Conceived by a physical sex act between God the Father (Adam or Elohim) and Mary, thus not a true virgin birth

Biblical response:

Conceived by the Holy Spirit, who supernaturally “overshadowed” Mary, thus a true virgin birth

Once sinful and imperfect

Biblical response:

Eternally sinless and perfect

Earned his own salvation (exaltation, godhood)

Biblical response:

As God, never required salvation

A married polygamist, who had children by his many wives.

Biblical response:

An unmarried monogamist

Jesus is not God the Son, the second person of the trinity, who is equal to the Father.

Biblical response:

Jesus is God the Son, second person of the Trinity, who is equal with the Father and the Spirit.

Before becoming a man, Jesus existed in the spirit world as the eldest of many spirit children born to God the Father.

Biblical response:

Jesus has existed for all eternity as God the Son, with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. He did not come into existence after the Father.

Jesus rose from the dead, but his resurrection did not destroy death and sin, it only insured that men would be resurrected (brought back to life) with a permanently joined body and soul.

Biblical response:

The death of Jesus satisfied the holiness and justice of the Father in relation to the sin of mankind and the punishment for sin. The cross completely dealt with sin (Col. 2:13-15; Rom. 5:1).
